I’m Isabella Littleford—a fashion industry veteran who’s spent years diving deep into where designer taste meets day-to-day life.
With over a decade immersed in the fashion industry, I’ve had the honor of honing my craft in Paris, the capital of couture and partnering with renowned design icons worldwide. That experience taught me to recognize luxury-level detail, forward-thinking design, and pieces that last. Golden Goose sneakers have long caught my attention, a brand that effortlessly marries a vintage-inspired edge with refined construction and premium materials. Today, I’m offering my insights into several of the Superstar editions, exploring their design language, wearability, and wardrobe potential.
Whether you obsess over every new drop or just want a reliable fashion-forward pair, I’m here to guide you through it all with insights drawn from my years in the fashion trenches. Let’s explore what makes these sneakers a standout choice!
A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (and shared them first in this post!), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I figured I’d dive in and give you a detailed review! I’ve also had them long enough that I feel like I have a good grip on their quality, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.
So I’m breaking down a bunch of common questions, golden goose sneakers men as well as how to grab them for less, below! Also, if you’re interested in more try-ons and reviews, take a look at my Abercrombie vs. Agolde jean shorts review, Goyard St. Louis GM Tote review, and Dudley Stephens fleece review!
Where did you score your pair?
I spotted mine on sale via Cettire and snagged them that way!
Placed my order on the 28th of April and they were shipped to me by the 30th, so the shipping was super fast and that’s a win in my book
How expensive are they?
I snagged a pair for $385.43, though they usually retail for around $513.91.
Golden Goose sneakers typically range from $410 and $1,700, depending on how embellished they are.
Are they true to size?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a European 36.
Since they keep their shape and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d recommend sizing up.
Are they comfortable?
They required minimal break-in time..
How durable are they?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. No glitter has fallen off, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I’ve tried others like Vejas, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. They have a hidden arch lift that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the shine on mine? Next-level.
Would you recommend them?
Absolutely! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They’re expensive, so getting them with a promo is worth it. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you find a style that suits you. I went bold with sparkle, but a low-key version would also look great.

Where can I find a pair like yours?
I grabbed mine from Cettire when they had a solid deal going on.
Placed my order on the 28th of April and they were delivered by the 30th, so the shipping was super fast .
What’s the going rate?
When I bought my pair in April, I paid $385.43, but their regular price is over $500.
You can expect to pay between four hundred bucks and $1,700 depending on their design features.
How does the sizing run?
I’d say they fit true to size, based on my pair. Since they don’t stretch and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d choose the larger option.
Are they comfortable?
They felt good almost immediately. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since my feet get sweaty. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more comfortable than breaking in plastic-based shoes. Bonus, they’re already softened so your feet just slide in.
Do they hold up well?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. The laces are intact, and the leather hasn’t stretched.
Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
